Coming to Church

20170428_113459
No need knocking
When you come to Church.
No need self-locking;
No need knocking on birch.

Be yourself, say prayer,
Be sincere;
Keep fair;
Abandon fear.

Try everything

When you are too afraid to go,
Try everything – all worthy things to grow.
When you are ready to quit,
Just try your wit.

In all good business keep smart and fair;
Before you make an important decision, remember to say a prayer.
Be simple and clever,
Be grateful ever.

Balance

I know you go to Church a lot,
But how do you react when you see someone in need,
With fear and distrust or with a welcome which is hot,
With generosity or with greed?

Yes, you have to take care,
But you also have to be helpful, loving, and fair.
How to manage? Try balance in all,
Add a pinch of wisdom, sprinkle with love, go to Church, read the Scroll*.

Language is a well of knowledge

CAM00104-2
Language is a well of knowledge.
It is spoken and also studied at college.
I use it everyday and everywhere,
But I’ve never looked at it with due care.

I’ve been studying it since school,
But even now I can’t remember each rule.
Language is like a puzzle
And here even a dog won’t nuzzle.

God gave us this gift.
The gift is powerful, fair, and has no sift.
With language one can bring in pleasure
Or sorrow if he doesn’t want or doesn’t see the measure.

The language is also like an ocean:
It’s deep, full of good things and is always in motion.
We need it like grass needs dew.
Thanks to language I write; thanks to it I speak to You.
