What is life of a modern scholar like?
He (let us use masculine for the purpose of convenience)
Gets up, brushes teeth, drinks water, prays, and rides his bike.
He does not start his day with scholarly opinions.
He returns from his workout,
Takes shower, if required,
Has his breakfast, sometimes with sauerkraut.
He does not start work until after meal to avoid being tired.
When the meal is done,
It’s time to tackle tasks;
But for lunch he is gone
To eat, to rest, to prepare to answer whatever his class asks.
When his work (research and classes)
Is done for the day,
He puts away bulbs and weird masses,
He returns home without delay.
He has his dinner before six o’clock.
This meal is lightest, lunch is mid,
Breakfast is heartiest – this rule is like a rock.
He rejoices over what he did.
Besides his usual things,
He goes to a swimming pool twice a week.
He goes to Church on Sunday to share prayer and what the Lord graciously gives.
He makes healthy food, he is meek.
He likes reading books about adventures,
Enjoys spending time with family and friends.
He does charity and other worthy ventures.
At 9pm his day ends.
He goes to bed at this time.
He prays, brushes teeth, washes his face.
This scholar likes wise and harmless rhyme.
Things in life are to be taken at a moderate pace.
